About this event
Our Kids Martial Arts program is built from Taekwondo and Kenpo Karate's foundation and incorporates Jiu Jitsu's self-defense aspects. We aim to help your child be the best version of themselves on the mat and at home. Students will learn not just the physical part of martial art but also the mental aspects. Classes are built to develop confidence, courage, perseverance, discipline, and respect for self and others – all through the discipline and training of martial arts. • Martial Arts on the Go is a self-defense school that teaches practical martial arts. This program is ideal for those that prefer standing martial arts to working on the ground and grappling. The focus of this program is learning how to avoid a fight, how to strike, kicks, and self-defense movements that help students to submit their opponent with and without striking, avoid going to the ground and learn what to do to get back on their feet if they are taken down. • Being a self-defense-focused school doesn’t mean we don’t have fun. As students progress through their training, opportunities to spar, work with weapons such as the nunchaku or staff, and advanced techniques are all part of the curriculum.
