Liquid Harmonies is a musical journey dedicated to water and the surf community of Encinitas, weaving together the timeless and the contemporary in a fluid dialogue between past and present. The program opens with Max Richter’s visionary Recomposed, a reimagining of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, brought to life by the expressive violin of Anastasiya Petryshak and the nuanced piano of Jacopo Giacopuzzi. The grandeur of Rome’s fountains then unfolds through Respighi’s evocative soundscapes, performed in a dynamic four-hands piano rendition by Jacopo and Maddalena Giacopuzzi. Saint-Saëns' Aquarium and The Swan from The Cannibal of the Animals introduce a dreamlike beauty, with Petryshak’s violin, Giacopuzzi’s piano, and Gabriel Fiol’s cello painting an ethereal fluid scene. The program culminates with Mar D’Arrels, an original work by Fiol, blending rich textures of piano, violin, and cello into a deeply evocative, modern soundscape. Liquid Harmonies invites audiences to immerse themselves in a world where music flows seamlessly across time and tradition.
