There is no better place to enjoy a 5K run/walk than Downtown Dunedin so join us as we gather in Dunedin this summer at THE Dunedin HOB House of Beer Brewing Company, 931 Huntley Ave., Dunedin, FL 34698.
The House Of Beer Dunedin Ice Cold Beer Summer of Love 5K is on Saturday, June 24, 2023. This is a walk/run open to all ages and levels of ability and a perfect event for first timers. We are known for taking the intimidation out of competitive event and that leads to unity and FUN!
The 5K begins at 8:30 am on the flat, shaded, and stroller/dog friendly Pinellas Trail. Free beer for a runner and walkers at our post race party at HOB Brewing Company in downtown Dunedin.
An email will be sent to ALL registrants the day before the race before 2 pm which will include your bib number assignment along with your waiver to participate for you to print and bring with you on event morning. For those travelling or without a printer we will have waivers on site but bringing it with you moves check in much more quickly. Occasionally we have a few bad email addresses so if you don’t receive the final email the day before the race, please email XanaduRaceManagement@gmail.com
Parking is encouraged in downtown Dunedin at the artisan Artisan parking garage at 356 Monroe Street, Dunedin, FL 34698 then walk toward the venue using the Pinellas Trail heading north to Weaver Park. Volunteers are the only people who can use parking at Weaver but this location can also be used for those dropping someone off and for Uber or Lyft.
Check-in is RACE MORNING ONLY and it is safe and touch FREE. Each registrant will receive one dry fit promotional run shirt and one awesome event themed finisher’s medal. We will have a bag check zone if you don’t want to go back to your car. This is a family environment with a great kids play zone.
The 5K will be scored by Race Splitter but results ARE purposely not posted at the venue so we can maintain our light-hearted group of non-competitive runners and walkers. You can find your finish time in overall results later in the afternoon at www.727CanRace.com We give top finisher frames to those who finish in under 30 minutes and we also bring additional top finisher’s frames for seniors and our younger runners so if you had an exceptional day (any age) let Suzanne know at the microphone and we’ll award you for your performance! Age group awards slow down the day and we have used this method the last 7 years and it works out BEAUTIFULLY for the laid-back group of runners we attract. We are the #1 search for travelers looking for a local 5K as we limit our runs to 200 participants so let us know when you arrive which state or country you have travelled from. About 70% of our participants are from out of town and WE LOVE TO HAVE ALL OF YOU!
After the run we PARTY AT THE HOB so bring all of your friends, and family, or walk downtown to see exactly what all the rave is about in Dunedin, Florida. From our shops, restaurants, 13 breweries, and amazing marina district, it’s the gem of Florida. Dunedin is also home to the famous Honeymoon Island State Park so make a day of it if you can.
