Grab your sneakers and your best four-legged friend for our Leashes & Leaves 5K Fun Run/Walk. The first 100 registered will receive some great swag as part of the race day package. Must be 12 years or older to run alone with the furry friend. Fast & Furriest Rules and Guidelines: • Dogs must be 6 months old and up to date on vaccinations. • Only bring dogs that are well-behaved and socialized to be around other dogs and people. • Dogs must be kept on a leash at ALL times. • Leashes should be no longer than 6 feet; please keep it short to avoid entanglement. • NO retractable leashes – these may be hazardous in a crowd. • NO dogs in heat. • Clean up after your dog. Carry poo bags with you at all times. We recommend using a harness for your dog (this allows them to pull from the chest rather than the neck). Also, less chance of a dog slipping its collar. A waist belt and line allow the owner to run “hand’s free” and will have built in bungee to absorb shocks and lets your dog pull you. The following are NOT permitted: • Leashes longer than 6 feet. • Retractable leashes • Choke chains Cancellation Policy: We do not offer a refund to those that cancel their entry. If we need to cancel due to weather and cannot reschedule then a refund or credit will be granted. Rules and guidelines reminder will be sent again closer to race date. Day/Date: Saturday, October 7th, 2023 Race Start Time: 8:30a Race Start/Finish: Near the Bandshell located in the City Park Pre-registration cost: $30 Walk-up Registration cost: $40 Race day registration will open at 7:30am.
