Bring your creativity and ideas to life on the big screen! Whether you like comedies, action films, mysteries, or horror--you'll get to learn the basics of filmmaking from the start to finish: working in a group to come up with ideas, a script, props, filming, editing and finally, the premiere and celebration! Athenian Student Instructor Alex I. is excited to bring this class to younger students, having started directing, writing and filmmaking in middle school as well. As the Teacher's Assistant for the Filmmaking department at Athenian, Alex can't wait to bring this passion to other students and see them create a completed short film. All materials will be provided and no prior experience is required. We hope to you join the fun! Athenian Student After School Enrichment Leaders apply to teach in our program, and complete training where they learn the basics of lesson planning, facilitation skills, youth engagement and materials management. Throughout the Winter Enrichment session they will have support from the After School Enrichment team as need. They are thrilled to offer this course to Athenian and non-Athenian younger students. (no classes 1/15, 1/24)
