The Part 2 class builds on where the previous class left off, offering a structured path for improving guitar skills. Students will develop fingerstyle techniques, including strumming, arpeggios, and performing bass/melody arrangements (playing two notes simultaneously). The class guides students to move up the fretboard and learn a variety of scales and new chord shapes, including bar chords. Students will also learn how to practice efficiently and will apply these skills during rehearsals of blues, classical, and folk music. Some music reading ability is required, including treble clef, tablature, and chord charts.Completion of Beginning Guitar Level 1 is required; alternatively, students may take an assessment with the instructor on the first day.
