Description
Tai Chi is a slow and gentle form of Chinese martial arts, an internal form of exercise by combing slow, deep abdominal breathing with gentle, smooth body movements in a natural and harmonic way, unlike other exercises, without shortness of breath. Practicing Tai Chi can improve the immune system, nerve and lymphatic system, lung capacity, circulations, digestion, balance and coordination, help lose weight, enhance joints, muscle strength and flexibility, and prevent daily injury. It is relaxation with concentration, a moving meditation, and a great mind-body connection exercise, thus also enhances memory and prevents dementia. It is an ancient and unique fitness art for physical and mental health, and for longevity. In the class, you will learn Qi exercises, basic Tai Chi techniques, forms and routines for daily exercise. In the higher level classes, you will learn more challenging Tai Chi routines, including Tai Chi with a fan or a sword.
