Beginner class is for students with previous dance experience. Students should be capable of learning basic steps: grapevine, chasse, jazz box, etc. Routines up to 48 counts may include rhythms like Waltz or Cha Cha with slow to moderate tempos. Improver students need previous dance experience and basic skills. Dances will introduce new step patterns: coaster step, rolling grapevines, swivets, etc. Routines up to 64 counts may include various tempos and rhythms and feature pauses, syncopation, timing variations, etc.
A $2 discount per class will be provided for enrolling in both the beginner and improver line dancing classes. You must register through the Recreation Department either in person or over the phone to receive the discount.
