Wolf's heads out today with a destination at Chesapeake Bay. After a breakfast stop, at your expense, we'll arrive at Fisherman's Crab Deck for a scrumptious Crab Feast! Part of Maryland tradition is enjoying crabs - it's a staple in Kent Island as well. Enjoy dining at the waterfront location in the beautiful Kent Narrows. Kent Island is the largest island in Chesapeake Bay and a historic place in Maryland. To the east, a narrow channel known as the Kent Narrow barely separates the island from the Delmarva Peninsula, on the other side the island is separated from Sandy Point, an area near Annapolis, by roughly 4 miles of water.
Fisherman's Village, in 1930, was founded by Captain Alex and his wife Mae, initially seating 30 guests and featuring a grocery store - is not a tradition you get to partake in. Experience culinary delights and warm hospitality, set against a backdrop of awe-inspiring views from their renovated restaurant and deck. After all you can eat crabs, crab soup, chicken, hush puppies and MORE! Have your fill!!
After lunch we'll join Chesapeake Water Tours for an hour-long narrated boat cruise - hear the narrated history and enjoy the relaxing hour on the water. From here we'll head to the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, a nature preserve and educational center located on the Bay exploring the Chesapeake with experts in ornithology, native plans, water ecology and nature conservation.
As we depart, we'll carry with us a renewed connection to the bay and its wonders, along with the memory of a delightful seafood feast. A fast-food stop will be on our way home, at your own expense.
