Kiva Family Camp is a guided overnight experience for a small circle of families, couples, and individuals to come together to live, learn, and play as a temporary village in nature. This gathering is designed to support meaningful connection— within families, in community, and with the natural world. With a relaxed Friday afternoon arrival, participants step into a slower, village-style rhythm where learning, play, and relationship-building unfold organically in a safe, welcoming community. Throughout the weekend participants explore earth living skills which may include wild edible and medicinal plant use, knife skills and carving wooden tools, wandering and navigating without GPS, weaving net bags cordage and simple baskets, a variety of nature crafts and other practices rooted in ancestral ways of living with the land. Plus practicing the art of camouflage and stealth movement by playing sneaking games and learning the language of the birds. Children benefit from guided exploration, imaginative play, and skill-building tailored to their developmental stages, while adults are supported through hands-on learning, opportunities to play, facilitated discussions, and space to connect with other adults navigating similar life paths. Evenings offer nighttime adventures and gathering around the fire for storytelling, music, and reflection. Participants leave with treasured memories and new skills, as well as deeper relationships, renewed confidence outdoors, and the lived experience of belonging to a small, caring village in nature.
