The small scale of the basic cup form lets students cycle through ideas quickly, so they can later apply the same effects to larger bodies of work. At each step, we will explore ways to affect surface, shape, and color. Students will learn how and when to manipulate their work on the pottery wheel to create more dynamic and complex forms. This class is ideal for students with advanced beginner to intermediate pottery experience. No class 3/25 Clay must be purchased at the Studio. Clay is $15-$35 for a 25 lb bag depending on clay body. We also sell tools kits at the Studio and the prices range from $10-$30. Please view our refund policy at artstudio.berkeley.edu/faqs. Please note this is a 2.5 hour class and the course cost reflects as such.
