About this event
Taking inspiration from Wayne Thiebaud, this class will guide students to create still life paintings of desserts and pastries by using both conventional and unconventional painting techniques. Through demonstrations and studio time, students will learn descriptive painting skills, use various acrylic mediums, and practice application techniques such as piping and knife-spreading. Students will experiment with creating three-dimensional paint textures on a canvas, as well as work on their observational drawing/painting skills. This class is great for both beginner and experienced painters who want to practice different approaches to paint application through playful prompts and exploration.
