Wednesday, September 23, 5:00 to 7:00 pm LOCATION: Bar Harbor Fire Department Scholarships available American Heart Association, Heartsaver CPR is being taught by an Advanced EMT/ Firefighter with the Bar Harbor Fire Department. The American Heart Association's (AHA) Heartsaver® course is designed for people with little to no medical training who want to learn how to provide CPR, use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and administer basic first aid. The curriculum includes training on recognizing emergencies, performing CPR, and using an AED for adults, children, and infants, along with skills for relieving choking. Successful completion results in a two-year course completion card. Who is it for? Anyone with limited or no medical training who needs CPR, AED, or first aid skills. Community members, school staff, corporate teams, and parents. Those who have a duty to respond to an emergency, like childcare workers, teachers, or babysitters. This class is being offered as a service to the community by the Bar Harbor Fire Department and MDI Adult & Community Education. The course price covers the student material cost: book, mask and completion card.
