About this event

In this course, students will receive guided instruction to enhance their drawing skills. These exercises will be the foundation for several pastel compositions. Students will learn various oil and chalk pastel techniques to help them depict and emphasize the surface quality and texture of animal and landscape subject matter. This course is an excellent opportunity for students to develop their creative interests further while learning the basics of color theory and compositional arrangements. Students will learn from their peers and work in an atmosphere focusing on studio production and creative output. This course will yield 4-5 final works of art. Students will need to bring a snack, drink, and lunch each day. Please note that the subject matter will vary between art courses so that students enrolled in both will not repeat compositions.
