Discover the Austin Youth Orchestra The Austin Youth Orchestra has been inspiring young musicians for more than three decades, while carrying forward a rich orchestral tradition in Austin that stretches back much further. Today, AYO serves more than 300 students in grades 1–12 from across Central Texas, providing exceptional orchestral training, artistic excellence, and a welcoming musical community. Through weekly rehearsals, major concerts, masterclasses, chamber music, and special performances, AYO challenges students to grow as musicians, leaders, and collaborators while building lifelong friendships through the shared experience of making music together.
