DescriptionBOTTLE MAKING WORKSHOP/ Rick Berman
Friday from 10 A - 4 P
December 81 Day
Bottle making is one of the most difficult forms to make on the potter's wheel. On the way to making a graceful bottle many other forms are learned along the way. ie. a pitcher, a covered jar. a vase, a closed form, and so on. During the workshop we will cover faceting, slip decorating, carving through white slip, and many other possibilities of form and surface decorating. If you would like to bring some of your own work for critique, feel free. For the workshop we recommend using Phoenix clay, which will be available for the class. Phoenix is an excellent clay for oxidation, reduction, and raku. Supplies are included in the class fee.
