Take your weaving to the next level! Tubes, bags, double width and sharp color work are all characteristics of double weave. Double weave makes it possible to create 2 sided cloth that can be both independent of one another or integrated by swapping threads from the top layer with threads from the bottom layer. Students will learn how to design and plan their projects and explore some of the many applications of double weave. Students who have some prior weaving experience are welcome in this class. New weavers are encouraged to take the Weaving Introduction Workshop or Beginners Plus! Class.Supplies are included in the registration fee. Instructor: Teresa Edmisten Location: Weaving Studio (Upstairs of Carriage House) Class time: Tuesdays, 6:30 - 9:00 PM For the health and safety of Callanwolde instructors, students, and staff, we have the following Covid safety protocols in place: - OPTIONAL masking for those that certify their vaccination status. - MANDATORY masking for those who wish to not disclose vaccination status. - Acceptable masks are surgical, cloth, or N-95/KN-95. When you complete your registration, your confirmation email will have a link to a vaccine verification form. You do NOT need to complete the form if you certified your status for the Winter 2022 quarter.
