About this event
Introduction to Drawing covers the basic principles and elements of design and teaches you how to create an appealing composition and observe the natural world and create imaginary ones. This is a drawing class for beginners and the assignments given the first half of the term are based on exploring those principles and elements of design while the second half of the term focuses on putting into action what you’ve learned. Supply list: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MUPr4aseeuvEMgCBXh6-hpT37SJEQ502VpOLPvfocNY/edit?usp=sharing Set of graphite drawing pencils (must have at least these three: HB, 4B, and 8B) Small pack of General's compressed or jumbo graphite sticks (NOT charcoal) Pencil sharpener White Pearl or Pink Pearl eraser Kneaded rubber eraser (small to medium size) 11" x 14" sketchbook or drawing pad (must be spiral bound) For the health and safety of Callanwolde instructors, students, and staff, we have the following Covid safety protocols in place: - OPTIONAL masking for those that certify their vaccination status. - MANDATORY masking for those who wish to not disclose vaccination status. - Acceptable masks are surgical, cloth, or N-95/KN-95. When you complete your registration, your confirmation email will have a link to a vaccine verification form. You do NOT need to complete the form if you certified your status for a prior quarter.
