We're sorry, but this program is over. The last meeting was Monday, November 13, 2023.
Explore dynamic wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques. Students will be encouraged to push the boundaries of shape and form with their clay projects. Your instructor, Daria, will also delve into a wide variety of new texture applications and glazing processes. Experienced students may work at their own pace with individual assignments.
This course is ONLY for students 18 or older who have completed two or more ceramics classes at the A2AC and have a strong competency in wheelthrowing.The A2AC does not make exceptions to the age minimum for any reason.
THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR BEGINNING STUDENTS.
Please note that beginner instruction will NOT be provided in this class and beginning students will be removed from the course.
Supply Notes:This class includes 26 hours of independent studio time, 25 pounds of clay, all firing, slips and glazing supplies. Students must supply their own clay tools. If you need to purchase a handbuilding or wheelthrowing kit, you may purchase one for $23 from the Front Desk.

Cancellations UP TO 5 days before the start of a class or workshop:A full refund will be issued minus the 10% non-refundable deposit.
Cancellations WITHIN 5 days before the start of a class or workshop:No refunds will be issued for any reason, including illness.
*Refunds may take up to 30 days to process.
Student AbsencesFor the best experience, we encourage students to attend class on time and regularly.We do not provide make-up classes or additional instruction outside of class.
We do not pro-rate, or provide refunds for missed classes for any reason, including illness.
Waitlist PolicyFor those who have joined a waitlist for a class: If space becomes available in a given class, we will e-mail a registration link to EVERYONE who is on that waitlist and the first person to register will receive the space.
If you you receive a notification that a space has come available and click on the registration link and the class is already full, this means someone else on the waitlist already registered for the space and there are no additional spaces available. If another space opens, we will repeat the process.
Covid-19 Policy:
Vaccinations and masks are encouraged, but not required for students attending classes. The A2AC reserves the right to update this policy at any time during the term in response to changing circumstances.
