Join us as we send up a toast to friends, family, and loved ones! Pair up with your best buddy, favorite relative, “just a friend”, or significant other and make your own special mug for the beverage of your choice. Beer, soda, or kombucha- it’s all up to you! Learn basic handbuilding and surface decorating techniques to personalize your artwork. Each participant will make one mug. *This class involves handbuilding techniques and does not use the pottery wheel.
Beverage Service Available from The Grotto
- The first 30 minutes of this class is devoted to a social period. When students arrive in the studio for class, we will provide a special QR code from our neighbor, The Grotto: Watering Hole .
- Students are permitted, if they so choose during the social period, to place an order and purchase up to 1 alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink per individual at their own expense to enjoy during the class.
- To avoid disruption to the class, beverage orders must be placed during the social period, BEFORE the project has begun.
- Participants may only consume a beverage that has been procured in this manner and may not bring in outside beverages to class. The A2AC reserves the right to remove students that violate these policies or engage in disruptive behavior.
ALL participants must be 21 or older and show a Driver's License, State ID, or military ID upon arrival.
T his workshop fee includes all supplies and instruction for 2 people. Please complete only 1 registration per 2 people. Clay can be messy, so you may want to dress accordingly.
All mugs will be coated in a food-safe glaze. Please allow 4 weeks or more for work to be processed and fired in the kiln. Participants will receive an e-mail notification when projects are ready for pick-up.
Covid-19 Policy:
Vaccinations and masks are encouraged, but not required for students attending classes. The A2AC reserves the right to update this policy at any time during the term in response to changing circumstances.
