Whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine or you’re returning to tackle your next project, Fashion Sewing Studio is designed to meet you where you are. Join us in our sewing for fashion class. Have you always wanted to create your own fashion wear? Here’s your opportunity! We’ll start with how to use the sewing machine including utility stitches, general maintenance, and how to use basic supplies. The class will focus on 3 main projects: a tote bag, a zippered pouch, and pull-on pajama pants/short. Each project will grow skills and the student’s ability to read sewing patterns. By the end of the class, you will be able to purchase and read a pattern, understand fabric types, sew within a suggested seam allowance, and gain sewing confidence. Some projects will require purchased fabrics. Embark on your fashion design career in this fun and relaxed environment. For those of you who have already completed the class, you are welcome to register and join in on the projects again or work through your current items in a lab-like setting with extra help and guidance.
