About this event
Printmaking is one of the oldest art forms in the world. This Art/S.T.E.M.-based activity encourages students to unleash their creative ideas as they learn the process of printmaking. A print is made first by creating an idea, then drawing out a design, carving out the negative space with a carving tool in some cases, applying ink to the drawing then lastly transfer ink to a piece of paper. This is a perfect class for young artists to learn how to express themself and learn about color, symmetry, creative use of space, heat transfers, photograms, cyanotypes, and creating multi-colored prints.
