Price: $350 1st Adult / $175 for one additional member in your party Boats: CFJs, Lasers, or Fevas based on group size - Ready for the next step after Learn-to-Sail? - Ready to try dinghies after sailing keelboats? - Maybe you've sailed dinghies, but it's been a while and you'd like to get back up to speed... This is the class for you! This two-day classroom & on-water course is for those who know the basics, but could use a refresher and/or want to build confidence on a different vessel. We'll begin with a review of capsize prevention/recovery, safety position, maneuvers, points of sail, sail trim, launching/landing, and rules of the road. We'll cover rigging & sail controls, controlling speed, troubleshooting common on-water issues, day-sail planning, and more. The goal is for sailors to leave feeling confident in their ability to independently plan a day sail, rig and make boat adjustments based on weather conditions, and comfortably sail a dinghy with a crew member of any skill level. For your class, be sure to bring: - Close-toed shoes that can get wet - A jacket - Towel and change of clothes, including dry shoes - you WILL get wet. - Lunch, snacks, and water bottle - Sunblock - Sunglasses and/or brimmed hat - Your sense of adventure! ;) ACSC will provide: - Life vests - Sail Boats - Safety Boats - Instructors with US Sailing and First Aid/CPR certifications
