Join the city of Agoura Hills for an afternoon at the Geffen Contemporary at The Museum of Contemporary Art. Explore Olafur Eliasson: Open. Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson will presents a new site-specific installation at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. Drawing on his ongoing exploration of light, color, geometry, and ecology, the installation will interact with the building's material and immaterial qualities. Large-scale optical devices will reflect on both the Geffen's architecture and the atmosphere of Los Angeles. Next explore the rest of the Geffen Contemporary before heading across the street to little Tokyo for dinner.
Pacific Standard Time Art is a collection of exhibitions that explore some of the most urgent problems of our time through past and present connections between art and science in a series of exhibitions, public programs, and other resources. These exhibitions will explore “topics like ancient cosmologies, Indigenous sci-fi, environmental justice, and artificial intelligence”
