This is a 8 hour class teaching you how to deliver emergency care for a gunshot wound to the arms, legs and torso. Pack the joints, TQ the limbs and seal the box! We will cover tourniquets, chest seals, pressure bandages and wound packing. This is a dynamic course where you will be applying tourniquets, pressure bandages, chest seals and packing gauze. We will teach you how to apply a tourniquet to yourself and another person. You will learn to apply a tourniquet under pressure during many practical drills. This is not a show and tell class. This is an active class where you will apply a tourniquet to yourself (arms and legs) under time restraints, to a partner, without vision, under duress, managing threats and talking a partner through the application of a TQ. With training firearms simulators and targeting, You will apply TQ's, Talk someone through applying a TQ and work on moving to cover while engaging a threat with a firearm. You will apply a TQ and pack a wound with bloody hands. We will supply all materials necessary and training firearms to complete the course. Not much sitting in a classroom chair!
