Encaustic Painting & Collage Workshop (1 session) High School to Adults | All Skill Levels Instructor: Juliette Montague (Fall #1) Saturday, October 10th 10:00am – 4:00pm Learn basic encaustic collage, assemblage, and image making techniques to expand your mixed media art making! Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, is a form of painting that involves a heated wax medium to which colored pigment can be added. The molten mix is applied to a surface , usually wood- although canvas, heavy watercolor paper and even cardboard can be used. Most supplies are provided by the instructor Students are encouraged to bring any personal collage materials. Substrates such as wood, heavy paper, etc. will not be provided.
