Encaustic Collage Workshop (1 sessions) High School - Adults | All Skill Levels Instructor: Juliette Montague Saturday, February 14 10:00am – 4:00pm Learn basic encaustic collage, assemblage, and image making techniques to expand your mixed media art making! Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, is a form of painting and collaging using a heated wax medium to which colored pigments have been added. The molten mix is applied to a surface--usually wood, though canvas and other materials are sometimes used. Most supplies are provided by the instructor. Students are encouraged to bring their own personal collage material, but there will be collage materials provided. Wooden surfaces will not be provided. Please bring at least 1-2 small wooden surfaces such as cradled wood to work on, no larger than 11” x 14” at the most! FEE: $110 Painting/Drawing Classroom, 2nd Level Approx.
