About this event
Description
Registered District volunteers are invited to attend a 2-hour chainsaw maintenance workshop with our ecologists. We will focus on basic maintenance such as sharpening, replacing the bar/chain, and trouble-shooting.We will be indoors at the District's south ecologist shop with access to work benches, vices, and air compressors. Volunteers should provide their own chainsaws and personal protective equipment (ex. leather work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs).
Space may be limited, so preference will be given to volunteers already using chainsaws for District restoration days. A limited amount of chainsaws and protective equipment are available to be checked out from our volunteer supplies for the training day.
Interested volunteers should contact Stewardship Ecologist Ren Wells at lwells@mccdistrict.org in case of any questions.
This training is only available to registered District volunteers.
