GeO Camp • Camp Leader: Wendy Rice • July 13-17 • 9am - 2pm • Rising 4th–7th Graders • $400 (lunch included) • Description: - Geocaching and Orienteering - Use portable GPS units to navigate to landmarks (geocaching). - Read and use maps to navigate to landmarks (orienteering). - Draw and share maps. - Use a compass to follow, interpret, and provide coordinates. - Travel by Summit bus on two field trips to practice new skills. - Campers can bring their own compass or borrow one from Summit. - This camp is best experienced with new eyes. Previous participants should consider other camps.
