Join us on Saturday, April 18th, from 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. for our 4th annual Cardboard Boat Races in the Competition pool at the West Hollywood Aquatic Center! With two-person teams of all ages, participants will build their own homemade Boats made of cardboard and duct tape (provided by the City) and paddle to see who can make it across there and back! Preregistration is required for materials and to race your Boat. Register early and enjoy building your boat with friends and family! Entry is FREE. Maximum of 2 sailors per boat. This is a team registration. Please register once per Boat that will be entered in the event.
Note, each person must be INSIDE the boat and prepared to get wet in case your boat sinks! There will be judges for the Fastest Boat, Most Dramatic Sinking, and Most Creative.
You will receive details about the rules of the race via email after pick-up. Pre-registration materials include: 2 carboard boxes per team, 2 rolls of duct tape MAXIMUM. A week prior, a specific itinerary will be emailed. Pick-up Days will be Monday – Friday ONLY, starting March 24th.
