LectureCamille Pissarro: The Journey Into Modernismw/Leslie BowenOctober 28, 20266:00 pm - 8:30 pmCamille Pissarro: The Journey Into Modernism with Leslie Bowen In the last years of his life, Paul Cezanne described himself as “a pupil of Pissarro”. The often overlooked Camille Pissarro was not only a major painter himself, but he was also a generous teacher and mentor of Cezanne, Van Gogh, and Gauguin. In this lecture I will share my enthusiasm of Pissarro and stress his central role in the development of modern art.
