Join us for a private chartered motorcoach (with a bathroom) from Wayne Art Center to The Metropolitan Museum of Art to enjoy a private group tour of the highly acclaimed exhibition Krasner and Pollack: Past Continuous, in addition to the current and permanent collections.
Enjoy lunch on your own at the American Wing Cafe, Petrie Court Cafe or the Great Hall Balcony Cafe.
Following lunch, independently tour the current exhibitions including Musical Bodies, Costume Art, Orientalism: Between Fact and Fantasy, City of Memory: Nanjing in the Seventeenth Century, Creatures of Myth and Imagination Europe and The Americas, in addition to the permanent collections.

About the Artists:
Lee Krasner (1908-1984) and Jackson Pollock (1912-1956) met as emerging artists in New York in the Winter of 1941. They married in 1945 and moved to Springs, Long Island, where they remained entwined personally, artistically and professionally until Pollock's untimely death. While Pollock's reputation historically eclipsed Krazner's today, both artists' practices are rightly recognized as central to the innovations of art from the mid-20th century onwards. This exhibition continues and amplifies this reevaluation, on their own terms and in dynamic relation to each other.
