Unleash your creativity in this open-ended needle felting workshop! Rather than following a specific project, participants will create a sculpture of their own choosing while learning the fundamental techniques needed to bring their ideas to life. The instructor will demonstrate how to create common shapes, build forms, add details, and approach turning an idea into a finished needle-felted sculpture.
Students are encouraged to come with project ideas. Searching online for simple needle felting projects beforehand can be a great source of inspiration. Keep in mind that projects with more details will require more time and can be more challenging, especially for beginners.
This class is designed for ages 12 and older and will run approximately 3 hours. It is suitable for beginners as well as those with some felting experience. Depending on the complexity of the chosen project, students may need to finish their sculpture at home.
Class includes wool and one felting needle. Students may bring their own felting needles if they prefer. Additional replacement needles will be available for purchase for $2 each if needed.
Needle felting kits, wool, and other felting supplies will also be available for purchase after class for those interested in continuing their felting journey at home.
