About this event
In this hands on workshop, you will explore a mix of creative jewelry making techniques, including wire and beads, polymer clay, and resin. This class is designed to be both approachable and fun, with plenty of opportunity to experiment and create pieces that reflect your personal style. In the wire and bead portion, you will learn how to choose the right types and gauges of wire while creating earrings and an adjustable ring. You will also explore ways to repurpose old jewelry using silver wire and beads. You will then shift into polymer clay, where you will design colorful, custom pieces that pair beautifully with your wirework. In the resin section, you will work with UV cured resin, molds, dried florals, and wire to create nature inspired earrings and pendants, with the option to make matching sets. *Class price includes materials fee. *Students should wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty or bring an apron. Lisette Bez Lisette's journey into metalsmithing began in 2015 during her travels in South America, an experience that not only ignited her passion but also laid the foundation for her purpose in jewelry making. After experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one, she found herself healing through the practice of creating beautiful pieces from raw materials. She developed a passion for creating jewelry out of memories, and began sharing her knowledge and skills with others through workshops and classes. Guided by traditional craftsmanship, Lisette honed her skills under the training of Master Goldsmiths in Quito, Ecuador. Through meticulous work with essential tools and the alchemy of pure silver and gold, she developed into a versatile and adept jewelry designer. Her dedication to authenticity is evident in the way she not only embraces the roots of traditional artisanal techniques but also seamlessly incorporates them into contemporary and fine jewelry creations.
