Make two handcrafted fused glass ornaments, perfect for decorating or gift giving! You'll create a 3.5" fused glass wreath ornament using colorful glass shards, glass dots, and frit to build texture and dimension. You'll also make a kiln-cast glass ornament, giving you the opportunity to explore a second fused glass technique. I began doing stained glass thirty plus years ago when my father could no longer pursue his glass hobby due to advancing Alzheimer’s. I began the transition from traditional stained glass to fused glass about fifteen years ago. When I retired in 2013, I put all of my energies and focus into learning and experimenting with glass fusing techniques and products. Fused glass embodies everything I love about glass; color, sparkle, design and texture. I teach several fused glass workshops a year using techniques I have developed to allow non glass folks to make their own fused glass product in a short two hour fun event without needing tools or glass cutting skills.
