Leonardo DaVinci: Engineer and Artist Step inside the mind of Leonardo da Vinci, one of history’s greatest innovators and original thinkers. In this course, you will explore the life, ideas, and creations of the ultimate Renaissance polymath: artist, engineer, inventor, scientist, and visionary. As you investigate Leonardo’s notebooks, inventions, and artworks, you’ll also examine the causes and realities of the Northern Italian Renaissance that shaped his world. This course will challenge you to think across disciplines, ask better questions, and make creative connections between art, science, history, and everyday life. Through hands-on activities, discussion, and campus explorations, you will not only learn about Leonardo, but you will also practice thinking like him, applying curiosity, observation, and imagination to your own ideas and experiences.
