About this event
Hackers are looking for weaknesses. Can you stay one step ahead? Step into the world of cybersecurity and discover how experts protect computers, information, and people from digital threats. You will investigate malware, analyze real-world cybersecurity scenarios, and learn how ethical hackers use their skills to find vulnerabilities before criminals can exploit them. Through the Beat the Hacker Challenge, you’ll put your own cybersecurity thinking to the test as you decide how to respond to potential threats. Then it’s time to become a cybersecurity engineer! You will investigate what makes some passwords easy to crack and others much harder, and then you will design an algorithm for your own secure password generator. Using a BBC micro:bit, you’ll turn your algorithm into a working program, using variables, selection, testing, and debugging along the way. Can you think like a hacker, code like a programmer, and build defenses strong enough to keep information secure? The challenge is on: outsmart the hackers and become a Cyber Defender!
