Baylor TIP Camp for 4th-7th graders is a day camp option. Morning course offerings will run from 9am to noon, and afternoon courses run from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Lunch is included only with registration for BOTH morning and afternoon courses. Sound Through Time: A Journey in Music History In this engaging music history course, you will explore how music reflects the people, cultures, and ideas of its time. From ancient traditions and sacred chants to classical masterworks, jazz, rock, film scores, and modern genres, you will trace how musical styles evolved and influenced one another across centuries and continents. You will listen closely, analyze key works, and discover how historical events, technology, and social change shaped the sounds people created and loved. Through guided listening, discussion, and creative activities, you will learn to hear what makes each era unique and why music matters. By the end of the course, you won’t just recognize famous composers or styles; you will understand music as a living historical record and gain a richer appreciation for the soundtrack of human history.
