Who: individuals with autism who are 12 years old and older. Must be able to hold small paint brushes and make fine brushing strokes to best paint the minifigures What: Do you like robots? How about big robots? How about painting miniature models of big robots? In Battletech Minifigure Painting, you will learn how to paint miniature models of Battlemechs from the Sci-Fi universe of the board game Battletech. Set in the far future of the 31st century, these 'Mechs and their brave pilots fight for dominance over the galaxy, and if you take this class, you can be one of these pilots, and customize your 'Mechs to your liking. This class will go over how to make a color scheme; use the brushes and paints; basecoat, accent, and detail a miniature; edge highlighting; using washes; dry brushing; and last, but not least, you will learn how to have fun with painting minifigures and maybe even how to play the game these minifigures go with! At the end of the class, you will get to go home with the minifigures you painted and keep the hard work and effort you put in! Where: FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd. Virginia Beach, VA 23452 When: Every Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:30pm How: Materials and instruction will be provided. Families will be responsible for transportation to/from the site location YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE COMPREHENSION OR READING SKILLS TO JOIN OR PARTICIPATE. Participants do not need to provide their own material- all materials will be provided. A token will be received if participant attends, at minimum, half of the 8-week class (must attend 4 classes). Tokens can be exchanged for discounts off future programs.
