This is a 5 day camp that will provide swimmers with the instruction and basic skills necessary to compete in lifesaving sport. It will include instruction in open water swimming, sand running, surfski kayaking and prone paddle-boarding. Please bring drinks, snacks and bag lunches for the breaks. Swimmers should bring their own wetsuits if they have them, otherwise, we should have one to fit your size. At the end of the course all participants should be able to handle a kayak and paddle board safely and effectively enough to join us at training sessions. Summer Members enjoy all sessions at half price and the summer membership fee includes a JSCA membership, which is mandatory for participation for over 5 days over the extent of the summer.
