Students learn the full clay‑sculpting process, developing their own ideas into fired and glazed three‑dimensional works. They practice essential hand‑building techniques such as pinch‑pot, coiling, and slab work, and explore different surface decoration processes including carving and texturing. Emphasis is placed on form, structure, and expressive qualities, with students experimenting through glazing, hand‑painting, and mixed‑media finishes to create distinctive sculptural pieces.
