Digital Photography & Photoshop

Students learn how to compose, light and shoot a wide array of captivating images using DSLR cameras and will explore the endless creative possibilities when editing them in Adobe Photoshop. Light, colour and composition will be mixed with cutting, collaging, blending and digital painting to create unique digital expressions. They will be introduced to the technical features of the camera including aperture, shutter speed, and ISO as well as the digital tools of Photoshop. From street photography and editorial images to green screened special effects, students will learn how to consider the camera and computer as creative tools for their own unique artistic expression.
