Graphic Novel

Ages 9-12

Students explore the creation of graphic narratives, focusing on longer-form storytelling through sequential art. Using materials such as pencil, ink, and marker, they develop drawing and inking techniques including line work, shading, and perspective. Emphasis is placed on narrative structure, pacing, and world-building, alongside panel composition and visual flow. Students integrate text and image through dialogue, captions, and lettering, planning and refining multi-page stories into cohesive, engaging graphic narratives.
