She has a BA in International Studies, an MA in Cross-Cultural Communication, and a graduate certificate in both Teaching English as a Second Language, and Dyslexia Education. She started her education career in public school, has taught in community college, in homeschool co-ops, and privately as well. Shelley has been homeschooling for 22 years. She has graduated four, and is still homeschooling one more.
