Students explore figurative sculpture in fun and surreal ways using slabs and coils to capture gesture and expression. Emphasis on making gestural, exciting forms while incorporating abstract patterns and surreal shapes to express ideas or enhance the design. Pieces can be fired to cone 10 or, if small and light enough, fired in Raku. Approximate supply cost: $25. Supplies discussed at first class.
