About this event
This course begins with a review of framing concepts and skills: dimensional lumber, on-center spacing, measuring and marking, and cutting with a circular saw. We will quickly dive into the more advanced skills necessary for framing a roof: understanding roof pitch, the difference between a plumb cut and a level cut, and how to layout and cut a rafter. In this class, we will cut and install the relatively straightforward rafters for the monoslope roof of the tiny house. In this class we will frame the monoslope (shed) roof for the tiny house project. Students under 18 may attend with parental permission.
