“Giving back” is one New Year’s resolution that tops a lot of people’s lists, and we’ve got the perfect opportunity for you to start off the year with an incredibly rewarding splash. The Polar Bear Plunge at The Lakes will benefit Tempe Adaptive Recreation programs and members of our special needs community. It will be the coolest thing you do all year (literally)!

Event details and schedule

Plungers of all ages will join together at The Lakes community swimming pool for a desert-style unified “polar plunge,” complete with high energy music, yummy snacks, hot beverages, raffle prizes, cool T-shirts, and a warm & fuzzy sense of community to start the new year off right. BRRRRing it!

Polar Bears need to arrive by 8:30 am to ensure they are checked in for the Plunge. Be sure to bring a towel and change of clothes. Changing room facilities are available on-site.

Dress up and participate in the costume contest for a chance to win fabulous prizes. 

Parking is available across the street from The Lakes Clubhouse on the west side of Lakeshore Dr.

8 am -- Check In
9 am -- Plunge

After check-in, be sure to grab a hot beverage, yummy snack and check out the great raffle prizes. Raffle tickets will be sold until 9 am the morning of the plunge. All proceeds benefit adaptive recreation programs.
