We are excited to welcome our swimmers back to the pool for CBSC Winter Maintenance 2026–2027! With an emphasis on stroke technique, individual skill development, and building confidence in the water, our goal is to help every swimmer continue to improve while enjoying their time in the pool.

Winter Maintenance is a great opportunity for our Competitive and Developmental swimmers, Artistic Swimmers, and Water Polo players to stay active, build their swimming skills, and have fun with their CBSC teammates throughout the winter. We also hope to mix things up occasionally during our regular practices, with swimmers breaking into smaller groups to develop their stroke and turn technique, artistic swimming figures, and water polo skills.

And in the spirit of our CBSC Comp Swim motto, “Swim Fast, Eat Candy!”, there will be some sweet treats along the way!

Winter Maintenance is an extension of our summer competitive swim program and is designed for swimmers who plan to compete in BCSSA events next summer.

The program consists of length/lap swimming and is not a Learn to Swim program.

The program is open to CBSC swimmers aged 7–15 (age is as of December 31, 2026) who are able to swim at least 300 metres (12 lengths of a 25-metre pool).

If your child was not enrolled in Competitive or Developmental Swimming during the previous summer, pre-approval is required. This includes Artistic Swimmers and Water Polo players who did not participate in Competitive or Developmental Swimming.

All participants must have a current CBSC membership and valid BCSSA registration.

If you did not purchase a BCSSA membership for your child during the summer, you will need to purchase one before participating in Winter Maintenance.
