Learn tricks of the trade from a Downeast, 30+ year veteran wreath maker on how to create and decorate fresh balsam wreaths in time for the holiday season. You’ll get “tips” on when and how to harvest brush, permission documentation, and shipping information. Students will use a 12” metal ring to produce a beautiful, fresh, double-faced 20–24” balsam fir wreath to take home and hang. The instructor will also demonstrate how to create a garland. Materials provided: freshly picked Maine balsam fir tips, ring, rope, and wire. Students should bring a $20 supply fee, gloves, small hand pruners, and any ribbon or holiday embellishments you would like to use.
