Kelp Fest Kickoff is a free, drop-in celebration of sugar kelp harvest season in partnership with Stonington Kelp Company. Come meet the people behind your sea greens and get a taste (literally!) of what makes kelp such a powerhouse ingredient! We’ll have kelp samples to try, interactive demos and displays to explore, and local vendors joining in on the fun. Plus, don’t miss the Connecticut Sea Grant mobile seaweed research lab—bringing ocean science straight to the farm for a closer look at this incredible crop. Whether you’re kelp-curious or already a seaweed super fan, this is your invitation to celebrate the season, connect with the coast, and kick off a month of all things kelp.
